Responsibilities What your days as a Senior Buyer will look like:

  • Ensure the efficiency and quality of the procurement service;
  • Lead negotiations, manage and monitor purchase contracts, and analyze supplier selection;
  • Coordinate and execute purchases related to maintenance, repairable, and operations;
  • Ensure a smooth procure-to-pay process;
  • Evaluate suppliers in collaboration with requestors and follow up on supplier improvement plans;
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners and potential suppliers;
  • Track material returns and authorizations with suppliers;
  • Generate and analyze procurement and supplier performance indicators;
  • Participate in major projects to ensure compliance with the procurement process and support the creation of compliant tenders.

Qualifications To succeed as a Senior Buyer, you should have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in procurement or a related field;
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices;
  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills;
  • Good understanding of mobile equipment, cranes, and industrial mechanics;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects;
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive follow-up approach;
  • Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to change;
  • Bilingualism (French and English); Given the diversity of our team and the need to communicate with local, pan-Canadian, and international clients and partners, fluency in both French and English, spoken and written, is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems;
  • Autonomy and the ability to perform well under pressure.
