Here’s what you’ll be doing as a barista:

You will work as barista in our new Bakery Café behind the counter, serving customers, making specialty coffees and beverages, filling orders of baked goods, and preparing hot foods such as breakfast sandwiches, panini’s and focaccia pizza. We are looking for customer focused, outgoing individuals who will create a positive first and lasting impression for each guest!

Duties and Responsibilities

• Open/close the Bakery Café
• Serve guests delicious beverages, pastries, and food
• Enter all items into the POS System and ensure all payment transactions are accounted for accurately
• Replenish baked goods and retail items to maintain full stock on display
• Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of Bakery Café menu items, including dietary and allergy restrictions
• Ensure that service times are maintained to make sure travelers needs are met
• Follow all takeout and cash handling procedures
• Adhere to food safe requirements

Requirements

• Available to work early morning shifts (as early as 3:30 AM, to prepare for a 4:00 AM opening)
• Available to work shift work; mornings, afternoon, evenings, and weekends
• Food Handlers Certification (condition of employment)
• Excellent communication skills
• Firm understanding of the English language (fluency in French an asset)
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and team mindset

  • Full-time positions are dependent on having transportation beyond bus schedule to ensure availability for early morning shifts

Hourly Wage: $18.70 - $20.70
