Summary
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented finance leader to join our team as Manager, Operational Data & Metrics. Reporting to the AVP, IGM Strategy, Planning and Forecasting, this role is responsible for leading data management initiatives, operational reporting, and analytics to enable strategic decision-making across Mackenzie and IG Financial Planning & Analysis. The role also provides technical support for compensation calculations, modeling and other specialized financial processes.
Key Responsibilities

Data Management for IG and Mackenzie Distribution Models
-
Oversee and review end-to-end data management processes for IG and Mackenzie distribution models, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data

Provide guidance and support for data-related initiatives and project execution for BPC models
-
Collaborate with IT teams on select projects and technical support activities.

Drive automation efforts using SAP HANA and Alteryx to streamline workflows
-
Support administrative tasks related to data governance and reporting in BPC
-
Mackenzie Retail Compensation
-
Provide technical oversight and expertise for Mackenzie Retail Compensation modeling and calculations, approving monthly compensation calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Provide technical expertise for Mackenzie Retail Compensation modeling and other strategic projects.

Lead enhancement initiatives to improve model efficiency and scalability.

Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis and insights to assist Mackenzie Finance and Sales teams with planning and decision-making.

Project Financial Reporting

- Oversee and review monthly project reporting data processes

- Provide technical support and lead efforts of process optimization with various stakeholders

Strategic Projects & Process Automation

Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows using tools like Alteryx, develop use cases to optimize operational processes and lead implementation and training initiatives.

- Collaborate with finance teams to streamline data transformation and reporting processes, partnering with leadership to ensure alignment of analytics with organizational priorities.

Support BPC replacement initiatives for IG and Mackenzie FP&A models, ensuring smooth transition and alignment with business requirements

Team Leadership

- Supervise and mentor analysts and specialists within the Operational Data & Metrics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts with other pods (Technology & Data, FBP Support, Special Projects).
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field;

5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, operational reporting, or data management
-
Proven experience leading data-driven initiatives and managing financial models, preferably in the asset management or wealth management industry.

Strong expertise in SAP BPC, SAP HANA, and Alteryx for automation and data transformation.

Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
-
Proven ability to manage financial models and compensation calculations.

Knowledge of data governance and process optimization best practices.

Demonstrated leadership experience with team management and mentoring.

Strong collaboration skills across Finance, IT, and business units.

Excellent communication skills to present complex data insights clearly.

Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
