Business Overview The Senior Financial Analyst role is an integral part of the Finance team within FCC, focusing specifically within the Financial Planning & Analysis function. This position reports directly to the Director, Finance. You will be working as part of a team focused on integrating the various financial planning aspects of FCC to provide accurate, high quality financial forecasts as part of the Fidelity Canada quarterly rolling financial forecast process. This includes producing P&L forecasts, as well as driving forward the development of FCC’s various revenue and expense models and value-added analytic capabilities. This role will provide the opportunity to work cross functionally with business unit leaders and across the overall FCC finance team.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Deliver on the annual business planning and quarterly forecasting process through consolidation and delivery of the FCC’s P&L 3-year plan and forecast
- Coordinating with the Fidelity Canada finance team on integrating requirements of the overall planning calendar and owning the consolidation of quarterly forecasts through submission templates.
- Develop and regularly maintain forecast models which are linked to key success measures and scorecards
- Produce financial modelling to forecast both revenue and expenses at an underlying driver level
- Build out forecast capabilities that are dynamic, timely and capable of sensitivity analysis for FCC
- Determine the need for enhancement to existing reports or proactively anticipate future requirements and development of new reporting
- Work cross-functionally on the development and implementation of new tools required to help drive dynamic, forward-looking business strategies
- Build positive relationships with key stakeholders and management across the organization
- Operate with an eye towards continuous improvement in enhancing current financial processes, reporting and financial models to strengthen financial capabilities across the team
- Create clear, concise reports and presentations that translate complex financial data into actionable insights for executive leaders
What We’re Looking For
- University degree with a concentration in business, accounting, or finance or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years of progressive experience within a firm and/or a within a financial analysis role within a finance department
- Experience in a combination of the following financial analysis and modelling, reporting, business planning, budgeting and/or performance measurement
- Background in corporate FP&A with a solid understanding of accounting principles
- Working towards or completion of CPA designation
- Financial Services industry / brokerage business experience preferred

- Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus A competitive annual range of $80,000 to $100,000, based on your experience and qualifications.
