Position Summary
Responsible for the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of Supply Chain Management (SCM) technology solutions, systems, and data capabilities. This role partners closely with SCM, Operations, Finance, and IT stakeholders to ensure digital tools, platforms, and integrations effectively enable supply chain planning, sourcing, contracting, inventory, logistics, and supplier management. The role focuses on maximizing business value, system performance, data integrity, and user adoption while ensuring compliance with IT and corporate standards.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with SCM leadership, business unit partners, and IT teams to develop and maintain an annual SCM IT roadmap, including system enhancements, integrations, data initiatives, risk assessments, prioritization, and value realization targets.
- Serve as the primary IT business partner for SCM, translating supply chain requirements into functional and technical solutions.
- Lead the delivery of SCM technology initiatives, including system implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and decommissioning, using approved project and change management methodologies.
- Manage and optimize SCM applications (e.g., ERP SCM modules, sourcing tools, contract lifecycle management, supplier portals, and inventory).
- Coordinate requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and post‑implementation support.
- Ensure systems and integrations meet business, security, compliance, and data governance standards.
- Monitor system performance, adoption, and data quality using KPIs and service metrics; identify improvement opportunities and drive corrective actions.
- Partners with vendors, system integrators, and internal IT teams to manage solution delivery, support, and issue resolution.
- Provide stakeholder communication, status reporting, and escalation management for SCM IT initiatives.
- Summarize initiative outcomes and prepare materials for leadership review and approval.
- Contribute innovative ideas to improve SCM digital capabilities, automation, analytics, and overall technology effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to SCM IT analysts or project team members, as applicable.
- Stay current on SCM technology trends, best practices, and emerging tools (e.g., automation, analytics, AI-enabled supply chain solutions) and bring relevant ideas back to the organization
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree (Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field preferred)
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in SCM systems, IT delivery, or supply chain digital enablement
- Strong understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain processes (sourcing, contracting, planning, inventory, logistics)
- Experience with ERP and SCM platforms and related integrations
- Demonstrated experience leading IT initiatives, system implementations, or major enhancements
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions
- Strong analytical skills, including data analysis, reporting, and performance measurement
- Knowledge of IT governance, security, and change management methodologies
- Takes initiative, manages multiple priorities, and delivers results in a complex environment
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across business and IT teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership
- Detail‑oriented, with a focus on risk identification, controls, and quality
- Creative problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with SCM systems and reporting tools is an asset
