About the role
Automation & Reporting Analyst
Working within Paladin’s Innovation & Technology team, ourAutomation & Reporting Analystis responsible improving operational efficiency by developing automated workflows and reporting solutions that support business decision-making. The role works closely with stakeholders to understand data collection and reporting needs, translating them into dashboards using Power BI, and builds and maintains automated workflows using scripting, RPA, and low-code technologies. The role combines process analysis, solution development, and analytics, and requires a hands-on individual who is comfortable working across multiple technologies and business areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve data collection, reporting processes, and operational workflows
- Design, build, and maintain automated workflows using scripting, RPA, and low-code tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Power BI Report Builder, and related reporting platforms
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, including automation workflows, reporting models, and data collection processes
- Test, validate, and troubleshoot automation solutions to ensure reliability and alignment with business requirements
- Monitor and maintain production automations and reports, resolving issues and optimizing performance over time
- Document processes, technical specifications, and automation logic, including process maps and user guides
- Provide support and guidance to end users of automated solutions and reporting tools
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure solutions align with system architecture, data governance, and organizational standards
- Perform other duties as required to meet organizational requirements
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong communication skills especially with non-technical collaborators
- Experience with programming languages such as Python
- Good understanding of business process management
- Ability to work as part of a small team in a dynamic environment, wearing many hats
- Proficiency with SQL, Power BI (DAX, Power Query, and Report Builder), and Excel
- Experience with DevOps processes to manage code release cycles and an understanding of agile development (scrum) methodology
- Four-year degree from a post-secondary institution, preferably science or business related
- Experience working with Azure and the Microsoft Power Platform is a plus
- Experience with data warehousing, creating/ using data models, and managing databases
