Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Measure and mark sheet metal according to template Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal Operate laser cutters Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification Develop computerized pattern and layout Inspect subcontractors work to ensure quality and conformity with plans and specifications Fit and assemble prefabricated metal parts to build heavy industrial machinery
