Job Description:

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1.End User & Application Support (Tier 1 & Tier 2)

  • Deliver timely support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, chat, and in person.
  • Troubleshoot Windows systems, mobile devices (iOS/Android), printers, and peripherals.
  • Resolve account access, password, and authentication issues with Active Directory.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications and collaboration tools.
  • Assist staff with workplace technology (computers, AV equipment, time clocks, etc.)
  • Configure, deploy, and decommission user devices for onboarding, offboarding, and seasonal programs.
  • Support business-critical applications and databases to ensure availability and usability according to The Salvation Army policies, to ensure required performance levels are achieved.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate enhancements.

Network & Infrastructure Support (Tier 2 & Tier 3 Exposure)

  • Manage and support network infrastructure (Wi-Fi, switches, remote access, RDP) to ensure performance and availability under IT leadership.
  • Monitor network and system performance; troubleshoot connectivity and access issues.
  • Assist with server maintenance (patching, monitoring, backup validation) under IT leadership.
  • Support infrastructure, cloud, and system improvement projects.

**3.**IT Operations, Asset Management & Compliance

  • Assess technology needs and recommend solutions, coordinate procurement and deployment.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory, lifecycle management, and equipment recycling programs.
  • Maintain IT documentation, procedures, and knowledge base.
  • Ensure software licensing compliance and system standardization.
  • Maintain system configurations and acceptable use compliance.

4.Security & Data Protection

  • Enforce IT security best practices across systems, networks, and devices.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and implement remediation measures.
  • Maintain secure remote access and endpoint protection.
  • Conduct audits and ensure operational integrity of security and alarm systems.
  • Manage and maintain security systems (CCTV, DVRs, access control, intercoms).
  • Program access cards and support physical security operations.
  • Provide authorized video footage and support incident investigations.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This is a permanent full-time position, 40 hours a week (8:00am-4:30pm Mon-Fri).
  • The incumbent’s work environment is typically an office located primarily within a men’s residential services facility, with travel to other sites.
  • The performance of the job requires bending, walking, lifting and standing.
  • Flexible work schedule with some evening and weekend work occasional 24‑hour emergency on‑call coverage required.
  • Some physical activity required (regularly lifting up to 20 pounds and at times lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Completion of a recognized college/university degree program of 3 academic years.
  • Must have A+ Certification.
  • Satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
  • Satisfactory Child Intervention Check.
  • Valid driver’s license andreliable vehicle.
  • Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements

  • Three years of related IT experience.
  • Proven experience in managing computer systems including hardware and software.
  • Knowledgeable about telecommunications and security equipment/systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and repair issues.
  • Knowledgeable about common operating systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite to be able to support staff with issues.

Compensation:

The target hiring range for this position is $57,399.98 to $71,749.97 with a maximum of $86,099.96.

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
