Medical Customer Service Representative
About the role
Position: Medical Customer Service Representative-Ongoing contract JOB ID: # 16815215 Location: Oakville (In-Office) Hourly Rate: $20 Industry: Health Services Role Overview Our client in the non profit, healthcare industry is looking for a candidate over the next few months to assist them with medical customer service. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle a variety of clerical, and front-office responsibilities, and be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Reviews all purchase of service invoice forms/claims sent from PassportONE, ensuring all supporting documentation has been provided in accordance with policy guidelines.
- Completes follow up with the Person Managing Funds to request information required to process submitted claims.
- Communicates Passport funding information related to current funding to individuals/families.
- Maintains accurate records and confidential files.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Community College Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of general office procedures.
- Demonstrated skill in the use of acceptable grammar, spelling and punctuation when word processing correspondence and reports; good ability to detect errors in own work and correct them.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of Access Databases and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
