Job Summary/Objective
Builds scalable data pipelines, transforming and modeling data for reporting, and enabling access to insights across customer, sales, and product domains. Partners closely with analysts, data subject matter experts (SMEs), and business stakeholders to make data easier to access, faster to use, and more reliable across the organization. Supports the organization with proactive data enablement, ensuring a single source of truth and insights that can be confidently delivered across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential to the job)

Identifies, designs and builds a variety of technology solutions to enable reliable and scalable data pipelines across sources including Cosmos (event data), CRM (Dynamics), subscription data, and internal product usage.

Develops and maintains well-documented, reusable data models to power reporting in Power BI and other analytics tools.

Collaborates with technical teams, analysts and business partners to translate reporting needs into robust data architecture.

Owns the transformation and technology layer — cleans, joins, and models data, to be analytics-ready.

Improves data quality, accessibility, and self-serve capabilities across the organization through implementation of technical solutions.

Contributes to data governance practices, including documentation, naming conventions, and version control.

Acts as a bridge between data engineering and analytics, helping drive consistency across domains.

Applies analytical thinking and technical expertise to provide actionable insights and recommendations, including opportunities to optimize, automate, and improve the data environment, in support of business decision-making.

Translates technical explanations into easy-to-understand language, to ensure non-technical individuals understand data resources, processes, and tools available.
Education
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Data Management, or related technology discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.
Experience, Skills and Key Competencies
At least 3 years of analytics and data engineering experience is required, to include a technical background working with cloud-based data environments (e.g., AWS, Snowflake, Azure, Azure Cosmos DB, Microsoft Fabric), prior experience with BI tools (such as Power BI), proven success with enabling analysts/stakeholders with technology solutions for creating clean data sources, working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, dbt, or similar transformation tools, and exposure to customer and product analytics in a SaaS or automotive software environment.
Must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
- Proficiency in data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling) and transformation logic.
- Comfortable with version control (Git), documentation standards, and collaboration in agile environments.
- Strong communication skills and able to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with CRM data (Dynamics 365), sales reporting, or subscription-based business models.
- Ability to work independently and self-direct to manage day-to-day work and priorities, and use time, energy and resources to meet goals, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Able to communicate in a respectful, positive and constructive manner, even during times of challenge and frustration.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work, and can easily adjust to shifts in priorities as the needs of the business change.
- Able to effectively work and thrive in a remote work environment that has limited opportunities for in-person interactions.

Back in 2000, OEMs were facing a huge hurdle selling parts into dealerships, mechanical shops, and collision shops. Every transaction was handled manually, either by phone or fax, which left the market desperate for a faster, more efficient way to do business.
