First point of contact for in person customers, phone sales and directing calls within the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Sales/Service:
- Maintain a professional image and provide exceptional customer service.
- Process orders for both existing and new customers.
- Engage in suggestive sales to increase sales volume and remind customers of potential material needs.
- Obtain all necessary information to efficiently schedule and deliver orders, which may require follow-up with customers.
- Attempt to up-sell by suggesting better or best product options.
- Process credit returns and resolve customer complaints and billing issues.
- Utilize Salesforce to track leads, manage customer interactions, and report on sales activities
Scheduling/Coordinating Deliveries:
- Coordinate customer pick-ups with the warehouse team.
- Review the dispatch board before making delivery commitments.
- Follow up on deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time and all items are accounted for.
- Verify delivery dates and delivery status.
- Update daily reports and tally sheets as needed.
Miscellaneous:
- Maintain showroom appearance and provide a clean customer service counter.
- May assist in reordering products to keep store and warehouse shelves well-stocked.
- Address and resolve service concerns when they arise.
- Assist with store and warehouse inventory counts as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in an inside sales role.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals successfully.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM software is highly desirable.
- Experience with Exterior Building Supplies
- Window Sales experience an asset
- Ability to understand technical products and convey their benefits effectively to customers.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to achieve sales targets and contribute to team success.
- Previous experience in technical sales is advantageous but not required.
