Our partner is looking for a Bilingual Assistant Manager, Taxes and Mortgage Advances based in Canada. You will oversee daily processes related to mortgage advances, tax administration, documentation, and transaction verification. Accountabilities

The Assistant Manager, Taxes and Mortgage Advances will support the execution and improvement of lending operations processes while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and service excellence. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to manage operational activities while collaborating with multiple stakeholders. Deliver day-to-day support for mortgage lending operations, including loan administration, servicing activities, payment processing, transaction requests, and stakeholder inquiries. Oversee tax-related activities and mortgage advance processes while ensuring accuracy and adherence to established policies and procedures. Review, verify, and reconcile documentation and loan information to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance. Perform quality control activities, transaction verification, internal audits, and calibration reviews using relevant tools and processes. Monitor operational performance, productivity, and quality metrics while preparing monthly reports and identifying improvement opportunities. Support the implementation of process improvements, new systems, and operational changes to enhance efficiency and customer experience. Provide guidance and support to team members, acting as a resource for problem-solving and operational questions. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues, manage requests, and achieve service level objectives. Support training initiatives and contribute to the development of tools and resources that improve operational performance. Apply risk management principles and regulatory requirements to maintain operational integrity and protect customer and business interests.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced operations professional with knowledge of mortgage processes, taxation, and financial services environments. You should have strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance. 3–5 years of relevant experience in lending operations, banking, mortgage administration, financial services, or a related field. Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Knowledge and experience with mortgage advances, tax processes, lending products, and operational procedures. Experience with quality control processes, transaction verification, internal audits, or similar operational review activities. Experience preparing productivity, quality, and performance reports. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management practices, and operational controls. Proficiency with business systems and technology tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Supervisory, team leadership, or employee management experience is considered an asset. Banking experience is considered an asset. Fluency in both French and English is required to support clients and team members within and outside Quebec.
