Role Overview
Dopamine Machine is hiring a Community Manager to help grow and engage its audience across social media, events, partnerships, sponsorships, and local activations. This role is ideal for someone who understands Toronto nightlife, house music, social media, and culture, and is excited to help grow an independent music and events brand.
Responsibilities Manage Instagram DMs, comments, tags, mentions, and community inquiries in the Dopamine Machine tone of voice. Help build awareness and excitement around upcoming events, releases, announcements, and brand moments. Support social media, digital marketing, and event promotion across Instagram, TikTok, email, SMS, Eventbrite, and other audience channels. Identify and engage with key people in Toronto’s music, nightlife, hospitality, creative, and culture scenes. Support promoter and ambassador outreach, onboarding, communication, and ticket link tracking. Help coordinate guest lists, influencer lists, VIP outreach, community invites, and key attendee relationships. Assist with sponsorship and partnership outreach, pitch support, follow-ups, event activations, and deliverable tracking. Attend select Dopamine Machine events to support guest experience, sponsor activations, community engagement, and content capture. Help maintain a community database of DJs, promoters, creators, VIPs, sponsors, partners, media contacts, and engaged attendees. Support post-event follow-up, including thanking partners, collecting feedback, organizing insights, and reposting community content.
Ideal Candidate Strong understanding of Toronto nightlife, house music, electronic music culture, and event communities. Experience with social media, digital marketing, event marketing, or community-led brand growth. Strong written communication skills with a good sense of tone, taste, and brand voice. Social, outgoing, organized, and comfortable building relationships. Interested in brand partnerships, sponsorships, hospitality, nightlife, and culture marketing. Comfortable attending events and working evenings or weekends around event dates. Passionate about music, events, culture, and building real community.
Nice to Have Experience in music, events, hospitality, nightlife, sponsorships, partnerships, social media, or creative marketing. Existing relationships in Toronto’s music, nightlife, hospitality, creator, or brand partnership space. Basic content capture skills using iPhone, camera, or social media tools. Familiarity with tools like Google Sheets, Eventbrite, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Laylo, or similar platforms.
Role Type: Part-time / contract to start, with potential to grow as Dopamine Machine continues to expand.
Location: Toronto, ON. Hybrid, with in-person attendance required for select events, meetings, and community activations.
