About the role

Join the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) team as a Senior Analyst, Corporate Strategy and Portfolio Management. You will be responsible for providing project monitoring support to Project Managers while effectively using project, program and portfolio management techniques.

This is a temporary position until December 2026.

What you’ll do:

  • Coordinate the revisions, edits, and approvals of project management templates, standards, guidelines, and directives.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers to arrange assignments, analyze key performance metrics, dependencies, risks and prepare project documentation in line with CMHC standards.

  • Prepare reports and draft briefing materials for the benefit of project sponsors, Steering Committees and/or Management Committees.

  • Ensure the tracking of tasks and activities against dependencies are considered.

  • Breakdown tasks into time-boxed activities with project team members on behalf of the Project Manager.

  • Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor the course of projects, project issues and overall project health.

  • Track project milestones and deliverables to ensure they are being met within approved timelines.

  • Liaise with cross functional resources to ensure coordination and follow-up on activities.

What you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, and/or Project Management, or relevant experience.

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management.

  • Demonstrated experience in project tracking, monitoring and reporting.

  • Demonstrated experience in conducting communications between project stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of the project and its status.

  • Demonstrated experience creating project portfolio dashboard, preparing reports and briefing materials.

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing various data and metrics with a view to identifying issues and risks.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder relations skills.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, standards and documentation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite.

It would be great if you also had:

  • A Project Management Professional and/or Prosci certification.

  • Knowledge of Visio.
