We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Development Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will support key strategic initiatives, provide market and industry insights, and contribute analytical support across the organization. The successful candidate will help drive informed decision-making through research, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Track, update and forecast supply and demand tables for all major commodities by country, including:
- International trade flow analysis based on supply/demand of commodities, comparable freight rates, crop reports, etc.
- Commodity price tracking and forecasting.
- Compose the Company’s industry review for the quarterly management discussion and analysis presented to the Executive and the Board of Directors.
- Insight and analysis on specific end user industries.
- Analysis and reporting on the developments of key customers.
- Tracking and reporting on key global developments that affect the agriculture industry. E.g. political instability, weather events, etc.
- Liaise with the Company’s merchants to identify issues and/or areas that would aid the Company’s trading activities.
- Research, analyze and participate in making recommendations on industries or geographies in which Richardson may have interest in expanding its sales and/or investing capital.
- Assist with the analysis and diligence on merger and acquisition projects.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience developing management reports and presentations
- Experience using Microsoft PowerBI
- Well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with individuals from all levels in the organization.
- Understanding of accounting principles
- Knowledge of agriculture and food processing considered an asset
- Interest in completing CPA/CFA considered an asset
