Opening in September 2026, The Krown – Executive Suites is bringing premium flexible workspace solutions to the heart of downtown Waterloo. We provide private offices, coworking memberships, meeting rooms, and virtual office services designed to support executives, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and remote professionals in a professional, collaborative environment. As we prepare for launch, we are seeking a dynamic and service-oriented Community Manager to lead daily operations, drive business growth, and cultivate a thriving member community from day one.
Position Overview
The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the location while delivering an exceptional member experience. This role combines hospitality, sales, operations, and community building, making it ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys creating relationships, supporting business growth, and working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. The successful candidate will serve as the face of The Krown, ensuring members, guests, and prospective clients receive outstanding service at every touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities
Community & Member Experience Serve as the primary point of contact for members, guests, and prospective clients. Deliver exceptional customer service in a professional and welcoming environment. Foster a vibrant, collaborative community that encourages networking and engagement. Manage member onboarding, orientation, and ongoing support. Develop initiatives that promote member satisfaction, retention, and community engagement.
Sales & Business Development
Conduct tours of the facility and convert prospects into members. Manage and follow up on inquiries, leads, and membership opportunities. Support local marketing initiatives, networking events, and community outreach activities. Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community partners. Identify opportunities to increase memberships and promote additional services.
Operations & Administration
Oversee the daily operations of the workspace and business centre. Coordinate meeting room bookings and member service requests. Ensure the facility remains professional, organized, and fully operational at all times. Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers. Maintain accurate records and utilize CRM systems to track leads, memberships, and communications.
Qualifications
Experience in hospitality, sales, property management, coworking, customer service, or a related field. Strong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills. Highly organized with excellent time-management abilities. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a startup-style environment. Sales-oriented mindset with strong follow-up and closing skills. Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications is considered an asset. Ability to multitask and adapt in a growing and evolving business environment.
