Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Oversee daily operations of the fabrication shop to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Ensure high visibility of work activities and results to stakeholders.
- Set and achieve targets to drive shop performance and success.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and development opportunities.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Train and mentor team members to foster professional growth and skill development.
- Lead team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.
- Coordinate with other departments to align production goals with company objectives.
- Maintain inventory levels and order materials as needed to meet production demands.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline for potential projects and clients.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Experience/Qualifications
- Welding experience
- Red Seal preferred
- Pressure welding experience required
- Supervisory experience required
- Piping and structural steel background.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards in fabrication.
- Proven experience in supervising fabrication shop operations for at least 3 years.
- Excellent communication skills for leading team meetings and stakeholder updates.
- Ability to set and achieve performance targets to enhance shop success.
- Skills in training and mentoring team members for skill development.
- Proven ability to implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Proficiency in analyzing production data to identify trends and improvements.
- Experience in coordinating with different departments to align production goals.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a pipeline for projects and clients.
- Experience in maintaining inventory levels and ordering materials as needed.
