Senior Financial Analyst - Sales Finance
About the role
Join us as a Senior Financial Analyst – Sales Finance (12 Month Contract). In this role, you will support the business unit and corporate finance teams by providing data, completing month end processing, preparing forecasts, budgets and ad hoc reports. You will be responsible for moderately complex financial analysis by collecting, monitoring and studying data to recommend actions. This is a hybrid role based out of our Mississauga office.
A Taste Of What You’ll Be Doing
- Direct Business Partnering – Provides financial analysis and guidance on profitability, ROI, pricing, promotional activities, innovation, costing and trade spend
- Budgeting and Forecasting – Proactively recommends updates to budgets/ forecasts and helps to identify ways to close gaps/ meet challenges
- Month End Responsibilities – Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closing/reporting, submission of results, and review with leadership.
- Decision Making & Functional Support – Evaluate alternative commercial scenarios and model the impact to the P &L, gathering insights and making recommendations for improvement.
- Controls and Compliance – Observe best practices, adhere to Section 404 (SOX) and U.S. GAAP, and comply with company policies.
- Intellectual Curiosity & Professional Development – You will participate in functional and career development training to increase knowledge and skills.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Post-secondary education, Business Degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce.
- Proven experience providing accounting insight and analysis to non-finance stakeholders.
- Proven experience using SAP and Excel for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and results oriented.
- Strong communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers. Effective time management skills.
