Full-time, Permanent Position – 35 hours per week Salaried - $330,457 per annum (new position) About Unison:

Operating out of six locations, Unison offers core services that include primary health care, counselling, health promotion, Early Years programs, legal services, harm reduction programs, housing assistance, adult protective services, Pathways to Education™ and a Diabetes Education Program. Unison’s mission is working together to deliver accessible and high-quality health and community services that are integrated, respond to needs, build on strengths and inspire change. Unison is seeking a Community Health Physician for our Jane-Trethewey site. Reporting to the Clinical and Allied Health Site Manager, the Community Health Physician will be responsible for providing primary care to clients and their families within a multi-disciplinary, collaborative care model that emphasizes health promotion and client education. The Community Health Physician will have strong clinical and interpersonal skills to complement our team.
Qualifications
License to practice medicine and membership in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario Availability to work one evening per week Demonstrated experience in community-based primary care settings Demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to the impact of social, economic, environmental and cultural issues on health Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team of clinical and program staff Demonstrated experience in community-based primary care settings Ability to manage all aspects of reproductive health including insertion and removal of IUDs Maintain professional development related to youth, sexuality, and related specific job responsibility issues Experience serving Unison’s priority populations (seniors with complex needs, people with mental health and addictions, LGBTQ2IA+, and youth facing barriers) Commitment to working from a harm reduction, community development perspective Ability to speak a second language is an asset.
