About the role

DAANAA

Technical Project Manager

About Us

Daanaa is a Vancouver-based fabless power electronics and semiconductor company on a mission to build a simpler, efficient future in energy generation, storage, distribution, consumption, and management, for generations ahead. The company is in the early commercialization stages of deep tech power conversion and control technologies, offering innovative solutions to OEMs in multiple industries, including solar energy, electric vehicles, and data centers. Daanaa's value is derived from its transformative Power Transaction Unit (PTU) that consolidates power electronic functions—from bi-directional conversion and amplification to management, transfer, diagnostics, and control—onto a single, high-power-density, high-efficiency, low-profile, scalable, reliable, and safe module.

We are growing here at Daanaa and are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our engineering team. In this role, you will lead the cross-functional execution of next-generation power electronics product development, ensuring complex engineering programs move from concept through production readiness. You will work closely with engineering, product management, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, suppliers, and customers to drive alignment, manage technical risks, and establish the execution discipline required to bring innovative power conversion technologies to market.

What you’ll be doing

Lead the end-to-end execution of power converter module development programs from concept through production readiness, ensuring alignment across technical, commercial, and operational objectives. Develop and manage integrated project plans that coordinate engineering, product management, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, suppliers, and customers around milestones, deliverables, budgets, resources, and dependencies. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical, schedule, cost, quality, supply chain, and customer risks while driving timely resolution of issues that could impact program success. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, providing clear communication on project status, milestones, risks, trade-offs, and key decisions. Establish and drive scalable product development processes that balance startup agility with disciplined execution, documentation, governance, and milestone management. Coordinate design reviews, validation plans, qualification activities, and production readiness gates to ensure products meet customer, compliance, manufacturing, and quality requirements. Partner closely with engineering leadership to align technical priorities, facilitate decision-making, and remove execution barriers across cross-functional teams. Drive continuous improvement of project management practices, execution methodologies, and operating rhythms to improve predictability, collaboration, and delivery performance.

You should apply if…

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another relevant technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of experience managing complex technical or engineering projects, preferably within power electronics, automotive, renewable energy, semiconductor, or other complex hardware development environments. Proven track record delivering cross-functional product development programs from concept through commercialization. Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including project planning, scheduling, risk management, budgeting, and stakeholder communication. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams across engineering, product management, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and external partners. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive execution in fast-paced environments. Ability to manage multiple priorities while balancing technical, commercial, and operational objectives. PMP certification is considered an asset.
