Key Responsibilities

Participate in the analysis of business needs and the definition of technology solutions tailored to the challenges of the group insurance sector. Contribute to the understanding, documentation, and validation of business processes as well as functional and technical solutions. Analyze legacy systems, including IBM i environments, to support solution evolution and integration. Develop an understanding of batch processing, data flows, and application integrations required to support business operations. Read and analyze code to support investigation, design, and system enhancement activities. Write and execute SQL queries and various scripts required for analysis and validation activities. Actively participate in quality assurance activities, including test strategy development, scenario preparation, execution of functional and regression testing, and the documentation of results and defects. Collaborate closely with business partners, development teams, quality assurance specialists, and other IT stakeholders in an Agile environment. Contribute to the quality, traceability, and maintainability of deliverables throughout the delivery lifecycle. Participate in modernization initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and knowledge sustainability activities within the team. Provide production support and help ensure the ongoing availability of applications.

What Could Accelerate Your Success in This Role

We Are Looking For Someone Who: Holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration (IT profile), or another related field. Has between five and ten years of relevant experience working in IBM i environments. Demonstrates a strong understanding of batch processing and legacy systems. Has experience delivering IT projects, performing functional or technical analysis, and collaborating with multidisciplinary Agile teams. Is recognized for the ability to analyze business needs, document solutions, and contribute to high-quality deliverables. Possesses a solid understanding of quality assurance practices, test case design, and the execution of functional, integration, and regression testing. Stands out for autonomy, rigor, curiosity, and strong analytical thinking. Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Has knowledge of the group insurance industry. Possesses a strong understanding of IT delivery tools and practices, including change management and deliverable documentation. Has good knowledge of SQL databases and script execution. Is proficient in modern software development approaches such as Agile, MVP, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD), REST, and SOAP. Has a strong interest in modernization, continuous improvement, and knowledge sustainability. Knowledge of the group insurance sector is considered a significant asset. Has an intermediate level of English proficiency, as the incumbent will be required to communicate, analyze, and explain operational and technical issues to English-speaking business partners and users on a monthly basis. Has an advanced level of French proficiency, as the incumbent will be required to interact with, analyze, and explain operational and technical issues to French-speaking business partners, stakeholders, and users on a regular basis.
