The Mechanical Team Lead reports to the Industrial Construction Director. They coordinate and supervise all activities of the stakeholders and report on the progress of the activities.
What you will do :

Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations on the construction site.
-
Implement the health and safety program established by the general contractor.
-
Lead construction activities on-site with the support of site supervisors.
-
Support the construction supervisor in coordinating contractors' work during weekly and shift-start meetings.
-
Promote effective collaboration with the owner's team.
-
Ensure sound management of labor relations and maintain good site productivity.
-
Verify that all necessary permits and authorizations are in place before work execution.
-
Enforce internal project procedures and systems, ensuring they are applied by supervisors, contract administrators, and other staff.
-
Assist the supply chain manager and the construction contracts manager or other relevant personnel.
-
Coordinate on-site engineering activities to ensure they meet project requirements.
-
Monitor the quality assurance program and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
-
Prepare and issue required daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
In collaboration with the Mechanical Subcontract Administrator:
-
Participate in the preparation of project cost reports according to standardized criteria (budgets, commitments, variances, performance, forecasts), following the approved coding structure.
-
Update and account for all approved budget changes, project commitments (purchases and contracts), and modifications to those commitments.
This role could be for you if you have :
- Engineer or Technical Training in Mechanical Engineering (DEC) or Equivalent Experience.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in Mechanical Construction Management or in a similar role within a heavy industrial environment.
- Problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to addressing issues.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in managing relationships with contractors.
- Familiarity with the context of mechanical equipment construction.
- Knowledge of major equipment installed in industrial construction projects.
