Lakehead University, Orillia Campus, invites applications for two tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences/ School of Social Work**.**

The academic rank of the appointment will be commensurate with the qualifications of the successful candidate. The position will commence on August 1, 2026.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Social Work, or PhD in a related discipline together with an MSW degree, demonstrated ability to conduct impactful research and publish in peer-reviewed journals, and ability to teach at the BSW and MSW levels. The range of courses is broad but some specific areas for teaching may include macro social work theory, social policy, clinical social work practice, social work practice theory, interviewing, and communication skills, Indigenous social work, among others. The applicant should have the ability to teach generalist social work practice that integrates practical learning and have experience with graduate supervision. Applicants should also have a personal and professional commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and social justice. Our programs are accredited in-person programs.
