Human Resources Coordinator
About the role
Our client in the broader public sector is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator for a short-term assignment.
This is a hands-on HR support role responsible for assisting the Human Resources team with a range of day-to-day departmental activities. The successful candidate will support HR generalists and the broader HR function with employee documentation, onboarding coordination, records management, HR administration, forms, tracking, and related support.
In this role, you may assist with preparing and reviewing HR documents, maintaining employee records, coordinating recruitment and onboarding activities, supporting payroll and benefits-related administration, updating forms and templates, tracking information, and helping ensure that HR processes and records are accurate and well-organized.
This is a 12-week assignment with a possible extension. The role is on-site in Toronto.
Qualifications:
- You have previous experience in a Human Resources Coordinator, HR Assistant, HR Generalist support, or similar HR administrative role
- You have experience supporting general HR administration, employee documentation, onboarding, records management, and/or departmental coordination
- You are highly organized and have strong attention to detail
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- You can manage competing priorities and provide responsive support to a busy HR team
- Prior experience in the broader public sector, public service, or a unionized environment is considered an asset
