The hourly rate for this position is $20 - $22 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What You’ll Do Eaton is looking for a Continuous improvement Intern for 4-month to join our OPEX team based in our Perth, Ontario Distribution Centre for summer term. This position is scheduled to start in May 2026. Position Overview To proactively act as the participant or lead on projects, processes and tasks related to each specific function listed above for the Perth Distribution Centre. The roles will focus on continuous improvement activities and projects that align with efficiency, safety and quality. This will involve multiple products lines and processes both in the manufacturing areas along with front end processes.
Responsibilities For Operational Excellence
- Improve current processes by either leading or being a key member of cross functional teams on existing or new projects.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members to drive awareness on the current and future state of tasks and milestones.
- Develop and implement metrics for the organization to ensure alignment with the key metrics of the Canadian Organization.
- Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton’s Philosophy and Values as well as the Safety and Environmental Standards.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
- Enrolled and returning to an accredited post-secondary Institution or completing educational work term requirement (co-op).
- This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must reside within 120 kms of the work location
- Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment an asset.

- Effective time management and project management skills
- Operational Excellence concentration preferred.
- Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload.
- Efficient and effective communication skills (verbal and typed)
- Strong analytical approach, detail oriented, and creative problem-solving techniques
- Proficient with conflict resolution and interpersonally savvy
- Strong computer skills and high proficiency in Microsoft applications
