Title: Director, Primary Care & Wholistic Wellness

Salary: $125,708 - $147,891 - $170,075 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: 1-year term

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location: FNHA's Northern Region of B.C. A flexible work model (Hybrid/Remote) may be an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy.

About The Role Seeking a strategic regional leader to guide clinical and client-facing service delivery in FNHA's Northern Region. This role oversees strategic planning, risk mitigation, standards and process development, and performance management, while building strong external partnerships. The position collaborates with communities and partners to advance clinical and client-focused priorities aligned with the FNHA’s Seven Directives, shared values, and the Regional Health & Wellness Plan.

About You To be successful in this role you will have/be:

Education & Occupational Certification, Experience (REQUIRED)

  • A university degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related clinical.
  • Registration and good standing with an appropriate College or Professional Regulatory Body (e.g., BCCNM, CPSBC, CIPHI, etc.)
  • Significant, recent and relevant experience working within BC’s health care system (usually acquired after a
  • minimum of 10 years of experience)
  • Relevant, recent and significant experience in the provision of senior level strategic and clinical operational planning
  • Relevant, recent and significant experience providing leadership to and partnering with senior level management on projects, initiatives and collaborative

Education & Occupational Certification, Experience (ASSET)

  • Experience in providing clinical leadership to internal and external relationships
  • Experience leading and managing major projects and clinical teams
  • Experience working with First Nation leadership and interest groups
  • Experience working and leading teams with defined regulatory practice
  • Strong relationships or lived experience with Indigenous communities is a strong preference

Knowledge

  • Extensive knowledge of the First Nations Health Authority, the First Nations Health Council and the First Nations Health Directors Association
  • Knowledge of FNHA clinical operational sites and models of care
  • Extensive knowledge of First Nations community health systems and processes, as well as at the local, regional and provincial level
  • Extensive knowledge of the First Nations health landscape and governance relationships in BC, including health systems operations
  • Extensive knowledge of the current landscape of health care within FNHA and across the broader BC health care system inclusive of priorities and projects at the local, regional and provincial level

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
