1 Queen Cushman & Wakefield Patrol - Full-Time Dispatch

Position: Dispatcher

Site: One Queen Street East

Status: Full Time

Hours: Night Continental 1900-0700

Pay Rate: $20.49 /hr

Posting Date: May 20th, 2026

Internal Closing Date: May 25th, 2026

External Closing Date: May 30th, 2026

Site Description: One Queen Street East is a 503,000-square-foot landmark offering modern amenities and premium office space in a prime Yonge and Queen location.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure staff are following the assigned patrol schedule;
  • Provide clear and concise communication to security staff;
  • Record all information in a detailed and factual manner;
  • Follow communication guidelines issued by the client, such as prompt notification of incidents; using correct notification groups, and providing information that is detailed and factual;
  • Be familiar with all Cushman & Wakefield and CPPIB Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Procedures;
  • Have very strong communication and customer service skills;
  • Write detailed, factual, and concise incident reports;

Technical Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook;
  • Knowledge of security technology (i.e. CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Intrusion, and Incident Management and other security-related systems);
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable federal, provincial, and municipal legislation and regulations in the area of security.

Interpersonal Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills;
  • Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced, multi-tasked environment;
  • Flexible and adaptable in dealing with a diversity of situations and people;
  • Ability to work efficiently under stress; Team player.

Qualifications:

  • Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism
  • Must have at least 1 year of prior security experience
  • Experience in security is considered an asset
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a strong command and fluency in the English language
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment both indoors and outdoors as required.
  • Must be able to handle stress and pressure and make a sound decision under duress
  • Must be comfortable working in a busy, highly populated area
  • Must demonstrate high attention to detail / observational awareness
  • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Enjoy financial flexibility with on–demand, daily pay
