This is a new initiative designed for early career professionals seeking variety, flexibility, and exposure. As part of this program, we are currently seeking an upcoming or recent graduate to join our expanding outpatient clinics in a 12-month full-time temporary position as an X-Ray Technologist - Rotator (Medical Radiation Technologist - Rotator).
As an X-Ray Technologist-Rotator, you will play a valuable role in helping to increase patient access by providing coverage across clinics during periods of increased demand and team member absences. Working collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals, you’ll explain procedures, position patients, adjust equipment, and capture diagnostic images. Bringing compassion and clarity to each patient interaction, you’ll help ensure remarkable care every visit.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support Clinic Operations: Provide coverage for both planned and unplanned absences, including vacations, training, same-day sick calls, and personal emergencies.
- Perform X-Ray Exams: Conduct standardized and complex imaging under the direction of Radiologists and referring Physicians, while adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines.
- Provide Remarkable Care: Explain exams and procedures, address questions, ease concerns, and help patients feel comfortable.
- Collaborate with Clinic Teams: Partner with radiologists and other teams to help deliver a seamless and thoughtful experience.
- Expand Expertise: Engage in ongoing professional development to refine existing skills, build new competencies, and cross-train in additional modalities such as Bone Mineral Density, Mammography, or specialized procedures in Fluoroscopy.
- Ensure Compliance: Follow privacy, confidentiality, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and Troubleshoot Systems: Track X-Ray equipment performance, document findings, and assist in resolving basic issues.
- Prepare and Maintain Work Areas: Prepare and stock exam rooms for patient exams and procedures; report low inventory as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- New or Upcoming Graduate: Nearing completion of, or recently graduated from, an accredited Medical Radiation Technology program, with active registration (or eligibility) with CAMRT & ACMDTT or CSCLXT & ACCLXT.
- X-Ray Experience: Clinical competency in radiography gained through accredited clinical training, with an interest in refining and expanding skills.
- Specialized Knowledge: Exposure to fluoroscopy, mammography, bone mineral density or interventional x-ray procedures is an asset.

Additional Information
- Position Structure: This full-time 12-month temporary position is part of our New Graduate Temporary X-Ray Technologist - Rotator Program, an initiative designed to give upcoming and early career professionals exposure to a variety of X-ray environments across clinics.
- Contract Start: May or June, with some flexibility.
- Work Location: Rotator roles require working across multiple locations to provide staffing coverage and respond to short notice operational needs. Clinic assignments will be discussed during the candidacy process and guided by operational needs and professional development, with preferences considered where possible.
- Out-of-Province Applicants: Eligibility for registration with CAMRT and ACMDTT, or CSCLXT & ACCLXT is required.
