About the Role
As a member of the Drafting team within the Energy division, your duties include:
- Prepare Plot Plans, PFD’s, P&IDs, piping plans and details, isometrics, material takeoffs and tie-in details, etc. according to engineering specifications and client requirements under the direction and supervision of a more senior designer;
- Demonstrates skill in producing and updating P&ID’s;
- Responsible for drafting quality control and interface with other disciplines;
- Responsible for keeping up with industry updates and current software, as well as internal processes; and
- Contribute to special projects (eg. internal drafting standards) as available or assigned.
What do we need from you
- 2 year Technical degree or diploma from a recognized educational institution;
- Experience with an Engineering firm in oil and gas or energy related industries is considered an asset;
- Ability to travel to field locations may be required from time to time;
- Strong analytical skills and comfortable facilitating multiple projects in a demanding environment with a willingness to work a flexible schedule; and
- Must be a self starter with the ability to take direction from more experienced designers.
- Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D considered an asset
- Experience with Autodesk Revit considered an asset
