About the role
We are looking for a Shipper Receiver to join our growing team. Come kick-start your career with us today!
Things you will do:
- Inspect incoming materials to specifications outlined
- Troubleshoot and resolve material discrepancies
- Perform administrative duties related to inventory control including cycle-counting
- Use equipment to handle materials such as pallet jacks, forklift etc.
- Effectively deal with customer / supplier shipping requests and arrange couriers
- Ensure goods are shipped in the most economical manner possible
- Ensure goods shipped are properly packaged and made ready for transport
- Ensure that shipments contain proper documentation
- Manage inventory and shipping materials and supplies
What you have:
- 1+ years of shipping experience required
- Materials handling certification or equivalent work experience
- Valid Forklift Certificate
- Grade 12 or equivalent work experience
- Familiar with:
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods
- Overhead Crane Use & Rigging of Cranes
- Working knowledge of ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
