Job Description The Material Handler/Laborer will be responsible for processing/handling wastes. Operating equipment related to the position including forklift, pallet jack, etc.

Main Responsibilities

  • Follow the operations manual for assigned position;
  • Implement Regulation 347 and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) policies as presented;
  • Completes all paperwork including task sheets and reports as may be required;
  • Complete dispatched task in an efficient and timely manner;
  • Communicated to competent persons and abnormalities or faulty situations in regards to the process, product, machine, equipment, workplace or other;
  • Wear safety personal protective equipment as required for this position, work safely and observes all safety procedures;
  • Able to work various hours;
  • Must be able to wear a respirator.

Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Grade 12 diploma;
  • Must be able to read, write and count;
  • Experience on paper work such as time sheets and preparation of reports;
  • Class G licence required;
  • AZ/DZ licence an Asset;
  • Ability to pass a criminal record check;
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently;
  • Organized and must be able to work with established procedures, guidelines and under immediate supervision;
  • Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude;
  • Team work orientedè
  • Ability to work at heights, able to lift 50 lbs. ;
  • Excellent physical condition.

Work Environment Permanent position offered on a full-time basis, with schedules from Monday to Friday, day time.
