Summary

The Account Executive – Government & Healthcare  is responsible for driving revenue growth within an assigned vertical by identifying and developing leads, educating prospects on CleanRiver’s products and programs, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role focuses on both new and existing customers through warm leads and strategic account development. You will execute vertical-specific sales and market penetration plans to acquire customers, deepen relationships, and achieve revenue goals.

Knowledge (Essential)

  • 3–6 years of B2B sales experience.
  • Proven success growing sales with new and existing customers.
  • Experience selling to public and private organizations.
  • Experience selling in the Government & Healthcare verticals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general technology tools.
  • Proficiency using Salesforce.com or similar CRM tools.

Knowledge (Desirable):

  • Experience or familiarity with the assigned Government & Healthcare vertical.

  • Strong sales skills with a proven track record managing a solutions-driven sales process.
  • Interpersonal savvy to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Resilient, composed under pressure, and able to manage setbacks.
  • Ability to work opportunities from cold to close.

  • Deep understanding of business performance metrics.
  • Ability to lead small groups and multi-party meetings.

Special Qualifications

  • Ability to travel within Canada and the U.S. for customer meetings and trade shows (up to 15% annually).

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Sales Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts with objective updates to deliver on revenue growth.
  • Work within pricing guidelines to ensure top-line sales and gross-margin targets are met.
  • Develop the sales funnel through cold calling and marketing-generated leads.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop calling campaigns and supporting collateral.
  • Track all funnel activities in Salesforce and leverage its tools for sales effectiveness.
  • Partner with the Inside Sales Representative to respond to quote requests.
  • Meet or exceed assigned quotas with new and existing customers.
  • Manage call volume and achieve weekly and monthly KPIs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on products and services.
  • Develop an annual sales plan with weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals.
  • Identify new opportunities and develop strategies to secure business.
  • Implement work-plan tactics to improve KPI performance and achieve sales goals.
  • Maintain high service levels and timely responses for quotes, delivery, and after-sales service.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of product availability, benefits, and pricing.
  • Prepare timely sales information and reports for the Director of Client Experience.
  • Attend relevant tradeshows.
  • Confirm technical information with customers and enter quotes into Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and leadership teams to improve performance.
  • Conduct Zoom presentations to showcase CleanRiver solutions.
  • Identify and pursue RFPs for large-scale or long-cycle projects.
  • Identify high-value accounts, map penetration plans, and execute them.
  • Coordinate cross-departmentally to deploy solutions to high-value, multi-contact accounts.

Compensation & Perks:

  • Base salary: $80,000- On-target earnings (first year): ~$92K+ (uncapped commission)

Your First 12 Months:

  • Robust Government & Healthcare pipeline built within 90 days.
  • 3–5 new Government & Healthcare accounts closed in year one.
  • Achieves ~100%+ of quota
  • Becomes the internal Government & Healthcare subject matter expert.
