Agilus is recruiting for a Project Engineer (Mechanical) in the engineering manufacturing sector in Calgary, Alberta. We are currently looking for an energetic Project Engineer - Mechanical with 5-15 years of experience to fill out our growing team. Reporting to the VP-Engineering & Project Execution, this position is based in our Calgary office and has responsibility for a variety project engineering tasks.

A Typical Day

  • Review client inquiries/RFQ/RFP/Contract technical specifications and provide specification summaries to the proposal team.
  • Prepare/review mechanical design calculations, data sheets for process and heat transfer equipment, instrumentation
  • Review P&ID’s, general arrangement, and equipment detail drawings for compliance of codes & standards, client’s, statutory requirements, and production capabilities.
  • Carry out design submissions to ABSA and other statutory jurisdiction and clarifications.
  • Participate in meetings, build and maintain client relationships through project life cycle.
  • Provide support to resolve technical clarifications in compliance of code and project requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the customer, vendors, project managers, production, and QC to ensure project deliverables are met on time.
  • Work with all levels of the organization to create a safe working environment.

Successful Candidates Will Have

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a P.Eng., in the Province of Alberta, British Columbia and/or Saskatchewan.
  • Experience in a steel and/or process equipment fabrication environment is a definite asset.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
