Job Description When it comes to integral, transferable business skills, it doesn’t get much more valuable than hands-on Supply Chain experience. Cavendish Farms Supply Chain is seeking to fill the role of Deployment Planner. In this role you will be responsible for the transfer of product to the right warehouse at the right time to ensure uninterrupted service to our customers while maximizing operational and transportation efficiencies.
Reporting to the Deployment Lead, this is a role that requires the ability to multitask and keep a high performance-pace while maintaining impeccable attention to detail.
Work Location: 100 Midland Drive, Dieppe NB
Responsibilities
- Build and update transfer shipments within inventory and transportation management software
- Initiate and coordinate communication between the plants and distribution centers with carriers regarding shipping/receiving product and maintaining appropriate inventory levels
- Manage and maintain appropriate safety stock levels in distribution centers
- Work closely with customer service, planners and distribution to ensure timely execution of the deployment/global balancing process and cost effective flow of product within the network
Qualifications
- College or University certificate or equivalent experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills & demonstrated team player
- An understanding or ability to learn inventory management practices
- Experience in JD Edwards, Cognos, or transportation management software would be considered an asset
