Alpine Aerotech is currently seeking a highly motivated Component Shop Technician to join our rapidly expanding team in West Kelowna, BC.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Component Shop Manager, the Component Shop Technician plays a vital role in the repair, overhaul and maintenance of aircraft components. As a key member of the component shop team, they are responsible for disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, repairing, reassembling, and testing aircraft parts to ensure compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. They maintain accurate records of all component activities, ensure tools and equipment are safe and serviceable. With a commitment to precision and excellence, the Component Shop Technician contributes directly to the safety, reliability and reputation of Alpine Aerotech.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMPONENT SHOP TECHNICIAN

  • Carry out repairs and overhaul to shop components in accordance with company procedures and all regulatory requirements;

  • Maintain aircraft parts by disassembling, cleaning, replacing faulty or worn parts, inspecting, reassembling and testing;

  • Keep timely and accurate records of component activities that were conducted;

  • Ensure all work tools and equipment are in good condition and can be operated safely, while maintaining a neat and tidy work area;

  • Fulfill additional duties as required; and

  • Uphold an unwavering standard of excellence that impeccable represents the Alpine Aerotech brand.

OUR MUST HAVES

  • Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) or equivalent related shop experience required.

  • Previous training and experience within Aviation - preference will be given to candidates with helicopter component overhaul experience. Bell 206/407/212/412 helicopter experience considered an asset.

  • Proven mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical drawings and complete required documentation accurately.

  • Valid driver's license;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to generate high quality deliverables;

  • Strong time and project management skills and self-motivation;

  • Robust interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and professional maturity with demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build professional relationships;

  • Awareness of the sensitivity of information received and appropriate handling; and

  • Know what it means to work smarter, not harder.
