This role is ideal for a highly experienced practitioner with strong functional and technical expertise in project-based businesses.

Position Summary
The Senior NetSuite Consultant will serve as the primary in-house NetSuite expert, responsible for: Designing custom reports, dashboards, and KPI frameworks Implementing on-demand system enhancements and backend customizations Enabling robust two-way integration between NetSuite and Opera Job Management Software Supporting operational scalability across finance, sales, estimating, production, and project management functions The consultant will work closely with executive leadership and functional teams to ensure NetSuite continues to support evolving business requirements and growth objectives.
Contract Structure

Your Responsibilities
Custom Reporting & Business Intelligence
Design and maintain customized reports, dashboards, saved searches, and KPI frameworks Develop executive, operational, financial, sales, and project reporting solutions Improve visibility into project profitability, margins, backlog, pipeline, working capital, and operational performance Automate reporting processes and reduce spreadsheet dependencies
NetSuite Customization & Development
Design and implement custom workflows, forms, fields, scripts, and process improvements Develop and deploy backend system modifications as business needs evolve Optimize system architecture, business processes, and data structures Troubleshoot functional and technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
Systems Integration (Critical Requirement)
Design, implement, and maintain two-way integration between NetSuite and Opera Job Management Software Ensure accurate synchronization of: Customers Projects and job information Financial transactions Change orders Project status data Operational reporting information Develop API-based or middleware solutions as required Establish data governance, reconciliation, validation, and error-handling processes Maintain integration documentation and support long-term scalability
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with: Executive Leadership Finance Estimating Project Management Production Sales The successful candidate will gather business requirements and translate them into practical, scalable technical solutions.
Qualifications
Required Experience
Minimum 7–10 years of NetSuite consulting, implementation, or development experience Extensive experience building custom reports, dashboards, and saved searches Strong experience implementing workflows, scripts, and backend customizations Demonstrated experience integrating NetSuite with third-party applications Experience supporting project-based, construction, manufacturing, or architectural products businesses Strong understanding of financial, operational, and project management processes
Mandatory Technical Skills
Advanced Suite Analytics reporting Suite Script customization and development Suite Talk API development REST and SOAP integration experience Experience integrating ERP systems with project and job management platforms
Strongly Preferred
Direct experience integrating NetSuite with Opera Job Management Software Experience with Celigo or other middleware platforms Construction, specialty contracting, or architectural products industry experience Strong knowledge of job costing, project accounting, and operational reporting requirements
Personal Attributes
The successful candidate will be: Highly analytical and solutions-oriented Comfortable working directly with senior executives and operational leaders Self-directed and capable of operating independently Responsive to evolving business priorities Focused on delivering scalable, long-term solutions rather than temporary fixes
