Director, Data Governance, RBC Capital Markets LLC, Jersey City, NJ:
Engage with key stakeholders to gather information relative to creating an independent comprehensive testing plan. Spearhead relationship with Second Line of Defense and ensure testing framework and methods are inline across the groups. Provide functional expertise to assist project managers in coordination and execution of tasks, status and management of issues, risks and dependencies arising from the testing activities. Develop a risk-based approach to define the scope for validating the compliance with regulatory instructions and expectations while keeping in mind relative industry trends, supervisory findings. Drive and optimize Regulatory Reporting team's Quality Assurance testing process and responsibilities. Oversight and leadership of issue remediation efforts across Regulatory Reporting, Treasury and Financial Control. Drive adoption of various strategic technological solutions and manage transformation of related business processes. Liaising and collaborating extensively with regulatory reporting teams, technology teams and key stakeholders on strategic sourcing initiatives and issue remediation and management. Design and review metrics to track progress of various initiatives, including preparing scorecards and escalating execution risks to senior management. Perform risk assessments to identify potential risks/opportunities and recommend mitigation strategies. Prepare senior management meeting materials, such as Executive Committee and Program Operating Group meetings, and any other program related forums. Lead Working Group meetings on issue management and remediation with cross-functional teams to deliver results, triage issues, and drive progress.
Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, $220,272 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field, and 5 years of related work experience. Employer will accept a 3- or 4-year US or foreign bachelor’s degree.
Must have 5 years of experience in:
-
Data projects involving concepts and processes related to data management, including Critical Data Elements (CDEs), data architecture, data models, data lineage, data quality, and data dictionary;
-
Federal Reserve reporting;
-
U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”);
-
Microsoft software Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access);
-
Capital Markets; and,
-
Financial Services Industry. Must have 3 years of experience in:
-
Federal Reserve Board (“FRB”) Regulatory Reporting Requirements;
-
Regulatory reporting requirements for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (“OCC”);
-
Financial reporting requirements for the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”); and,
-
Capital-related requirements with a registered broker/dealer for the Financial Industry regulatory Authority, INC (“FINRA”). Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
The base salary for this job is $220,272 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
