Role Summary
Reporting to the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Manager, the Groundskeepers role helps keep the property clean, safe, and running smoothly by handling outdoor maintenance, minor repairs, resident requests and supporting day-to-day community operations.
This job is to fill an existing vacancy. We’re looking for a strong candidate who can step into this role and continue supporting our team. This position will be full only site.
Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Community Manager and/or Maintenance Manager by appropriate methods to resolve site issues and report all issues in a timely manner;
- Repair and maintenance of common areas, including the cleaning of vacant lots;
- General grounds keeping such as mowing, pruning, whipper snipping, and clearing catch basins;
- Salting, sanding, and snow removal (where applicable);
- Distribute notices and letters to residents as required;
- Follow up on resident issues as assigned;
- Request material for items required for work orders;
- Participate in all safety training within the assigned timeframe;
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
- 1+ years of relevant experience;
- Qualifications in one of the mechanical trades are a strong asset;
- Organized and able to oversee multiple projects simultaneously;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Must be available for emergency calls (on call).
