About the role
Who you are
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent
- Expertise with modern C++ development, C++14 and above are required
- Deep knowledge of C++ building, static and dynamic linking, deployment and run-time dependency resolution
- Deep experience in developing highly asynchronous/multithreaded applications
- Extensive experience developing on/for Ubuntu or similar Linux (or other) based operating systems
- Experienced developing software libraries, some previously experience in development of SDK libraries would be highly beneficial
- GStreamer application development experience is required
- Experience in Unit testing of C++ libraries, especially SDK libraries
- Experience developing streaming (audio and video) applications
- Boost ASIO experience
- Cross-platform/operating system development (Unix, Mac, Windows, ...)
- Network/online applications in C++
- Development for resource-constrained hardware (e.g. robotics)
- Development of language bindings (Java, C#, Python, ...) around a C++ SDK
What the job involves
- Proximie's Software Development Kit “SDK” empowers OEM’s and MedTech companies to build products with real-time connectivity, secure data handling, and full customizability and control, all without the complexity and risk of in-house development
- With more and more partners turning to Proximie’s SDK, we have an opportunity for an experienced C++ software engineer to join the SDK engineering team initially on a contract basis (6 months)
- We are looking for a great communicator with technical expertise in C++ but also the ability to dig into complex low level engineering challenges
