About the role
Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Central Fill Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Earl's Pharmacy (Fulfillment Centre Saskatoon) in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:
- Support Pharmacists in providing specialized care for Long Term Care (LTC), private and group homes.
- Receive and accurately transcribe verbal prescriptions from healthcare providers
- Ensure patient safety through accurate and high-quality preparation and release of medications
- Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies
- Process prescriptions by entering orders, counting, measuring, compounding, and packaging medications
- Check central fill packaging, including compliance cards and pouch packaging, and coordination of orders for shipping.
- Perform final checks on prepared prescriptions for accuracy and safety
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards
- Central fill customer support, training, and certification for new staff.
- Oversee Central Fill Pharmacy Assistants to ensure efficient and safe prescription filling
- Assist the Store Operator/Pharmacy Manager and Central Fill Manager to achieve targets.
- Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Central Fill Manager or Store Operator/Pharmacy Manager.
Qualifications:
- Licensed and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals.
- Kroll software experience is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a team environment
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week.
- The standard shifts will be Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- This position requires working one weekend shift every third weekend of the month.
- 8-hour shift
