Position Summary:
We’re looking for a versatile and analytical Product Owner to lead the development of key features in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platform while also contributing to our growing need for product insights and operations support. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both delivery-focused product work and insight-driven analysis—and is looking to grow into a more strategic, cross-functional role over time.
In the immediate term, you will act as a hands-on Product Owner, collaborating closely with developers, users, and internal stakeholders to define requirements, manage backlogs, and deliver user-centric features. As the team evolves, you will gradually take ownership of analytics workflows, customer feedback systems, and market research functions—eventually transitioning into a Product Analytics & Operations Manager.
What you will be doing:
Product Ownership (Primary in Short-Term)
- Define Features: Gather and define requirements for EMR product features in collaboration with internal stakeholders and end users.
- Manage Backlogs: Prioritize the product backlog to align with business goals, user needs, and technical constraints.
- Write User Stories: Create clear and detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development process.
- Collaborate with Developers: Work closely with engineering, QA, and design teams to ensure smooth implementation of features.
- Validate with Users: Conduct user research, usability testing, and solution validation with real users to ensure product-market fit.
- Agile Participation: Take part in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives as an active member of the Scrum team.
Product Insights & Analytics (Expanding Over Time)
- Analyze User Behavior: Use product analytics tools (e.g., Pendo, Amplitude, Mixpanel) to uncover usage patterns, friction points, and opportunities.
- Support Metric Definition: Collaborate with Product Owners to define success metrics and evaluate the impact of new features.
- Work with Data: Query data sources directly or work with data teams to generate reports and dashboards.
- Feedback Management: Help manage the customer feedback portal, triage user input, and summarize insights for prioritization.
- Market Research: Monitor industry trends and competitors, and synthesize findings into actionable insights for the product team.
- Enablement Support: Contribute to product documentation, knowledge base content, and in-app guides in coordination with the broader team.
You Have:
- Product Ownership Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Analyst, or similar role, ideally in a SaaS or healthcare environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- User-Centered Thinking: Proven ability to engage with users, gather feedback, and validate that features solve real problems.
- Analytical Mindset: Comfort with data analysis, metric tracking, and working with analytics tools to inform product decisions.
- Agile Methodologies: Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and experience working closely with development teams in iterative environments.
- Growth Mindset: Interest in expanding your role to include product analytics, feedback systems, and cross-functional product operations.
- (Preferred): Knowledge of EMR systems or healthcare workflows, familiarity with SQL or product analytics platforms, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification
