Overall Accountability

The Print Production Artist provides support in the creation, revision and print production of a wide variety of documents and other printed materials.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Operates digital printing, finishing and binding equipment to fulfill incoming job requests.

  • Combines, converts, and prepares various types of digital files for printing.

  • Revises and updates existing templates and documents; consults with Manager and/or client regarding specifications.

  • Utilizes design software to prepare sample layouts of new material for approval.

  • Assists with a variety of tasks in the completion of rush projects.

  • Completes invoicing and shipping of products, coordinates with clients and other departments.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) year post-secondary Diploma/certificate in graphic design for visual communications

  • A combination of on-the-job training and specialized college, industry or other courses may be considered as an equivalency.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and graphic design software (Adobe Creative Cloud)

  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with a strong customer service orientation

  • Previous experience in a reprographics environment would be an asset
