Duties
- Safely operate roll-off trucks to pick up, transport, and deliver containers to designated locations
- Load and unload waste or materials, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling
- Conduct routine inspections of the truck and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and maintenance activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding schedules and service requirements
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
- Assist with the cleaning and basic maintenance of the truck as needed
Experience
- Valid commercial driver?s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Prior experience operating heavy trucks or similar equipment is preferred
- Demonstrated ability in heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
- Strong driving skills with knowledge of safe driving practices on various road conditions
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to waste management or transportation industries is a plus
This role is vital for maintaining efficient waste collection services, ensuring safety at all times, and supporting environmental sustainability efforts.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Colborne, ON
