Job Description:

Note : These are part-time Faculty positions (up to 6 hours per week) starting January 7, 2026 and ending April 17, 2026.

Note : These positions are located at 1001 Fanshawe College Blvd, London, ON N5Y 5R6.

Fanshawe College is seeking interested and qualified professionals to teach part-time in the Veterinary Technician (VTT) and Veterinary Assistant (VTA) Programs in the School of Health Sciences.

Duties : Reporting to the Associate Dean, School of Health Sciences, part-time Professors are responsible for teaching and developing an effective learning environment for students.

General Qualifications :

  • Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
  • Excellent communicator
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
  • Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required
  • Teaching experience with hybrid delivery preferred
  • Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets

Specific Qualifications :

  • Diploma from an accredited veterinary technician/technologist program or a degree from an accredited Canadian veterinary college
  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in good standing with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians or Licensed Veterinarian in good standing with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
  • Post-secondary 4-year relevant Bachelor's degree is an asset
  • Minimum 5 years' recent registration as a Veterinary Technician or as a Licensed Veterinarian
