JOB SUMMARY
The Enterprise Integration Application Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining integration solutions that ensure seamless data exchange between enterprise systems, applications, and external business partners. This includes support for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions and the integration of ERP, CRM, and other critical systems. The role plays a vital part in streamlining business processes, ensuring data consistency, and supporting both internal and partner-facing integration requirements.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build, and maintain integration solutions between enterprise applications, systems, and databases.
- Develop and support EDI transactions between the organization and external trading partners.
- Implement data mapping, transformation, and orchestration processes using integration platforms or middleware.
- Collaborate with business units, analysts, and system owners to gather integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Monitor integration workflows and EDI transactions to ensure reliability, performance, and data accuracy.
- Troubleshoot integration and EDI issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure integrations follow security, compliance, and data governance policies.
- Document integration processes, data flows, partner configurations, and technical solutions.
- Support onboarding of new trading partners and internal applications into the integration ecosystem.
- Collaborate with other developers and system analysts for seamless ERP/EDI integration.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- 5+ years of proven experience with EDI systems, transaction sets, and mapping tools.
- 5+ years of experience with integration platforms and EDI translation software (e.g., Microsoft BizTalk, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, IBM WebSphere, IBM Sterling, Gentran, Seeburger, Cleo, OpenText).
- Strong Knowledge of ETL tools and processes.
- Strong understanding of common EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS).
- Proficiency in web services (REST, SOAP), data formats (XML, JSON), and API management.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines in integration projects.
- Experience with ERP systems integration (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
WORK EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED
5 years of related experience
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Systems
CERTIFICATIONS DESCRIPTION
MBA or advanced degree preferred.
