Full Job Description Director of Special Finance
The Opportunity
Are you ready to lead a high impact, customer first Special Finance program across a growing and dynamic automotive group?
We are looking for a Director of Special Finance who's not just experienced, but driven to make a difference. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee and grow our Special Finance operations across 10 dealerships. You will bring deep expertise in automotive finance, lender relations, deal structuring, and customer credit solutions and use it to build systems, teams, and relationships that set a new standard in the industry.

Special Finance is about second chances and smart solutions.
It is the process of helping customers with credit challenges secure reliable vehicle financing when traditional banks say no. Through strong lender partnerships and personalized support, our Special Finance team helps customers rebuild credit, gain independence, and drive away with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead & Scale: Oversee and grow Special Finance operations across all dealerships.
Deliver Exceptional Service: Ensure every customer receives an outstanding experience; no exceptions.
Drive Results: Develop strategies to boost Special Finance sales, profitability, and satisfaction.
Build Relationships: Cultivate strong partnerships with lenders, institutions, and industry leaders.
Coach & Mentor: Train and support dealership level Special Finance Managers.
Ensure Excellence: Monitor performance, compliance, and lender guidelines.
Structure Deals Smartly: Guide complex approvals, lender parameters, negative equity handling, and more.
Collaborate Strategically: Work closely with General Managers and Executives to accelerate growth.
Lead with Purpose: Lead with our common purpose in mind in every decision and interaction; "We create lasting relationships by providing the finest automotive experiences anywhere."
Qualifications 5+ years of automotive finance or lending experience, with deep Special Finance expertise.
Proven ability to structure complex deals, handle negative equity, and navigate lender parameters.
Strong knowledge of consumer credit reports and finance regulations.
Relationships with key lenders and a sharp understanding of credit structuring.
Leadership experience in a multi-dealership or large retail environment (preferred but not required).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Experience coaching and developing high-performing teams.
Willingness to travel across New Brunswick and Nova Scotia as needed.
