Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Administrative Staff Manager*,* some of the key responsibilities of the Receptionist are:
- Concurrently, answers telephone, responds to in-person inquiries and relays messages;
- Responsible to be at or to ensure coverage at reception workstation at all times;
- Sets appointments for professional staff in accordance with office procedures;
- Checks client files for conflicts;
- Collects and distributes in-coming and out-going mail;
- Provides and obtains information to / from the public and clients;
- Performs word processing, data entry and clerical work;
- Enters client case management data onto the database;
- Maintains client files, filing systems and client database;
- Maintains familiarity with the commission's policies and procedures;
- May be assigned other related, administrative or accounting duties.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma with one-year of relevant post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Able to use a database, operate computers and is skilled in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated client service focus
- Successful candidate will be required to provide an acceptable criminal record check.

Summary advice and information may be provided to anyone by a Legal Aid Saskatchewan lawyer about a wide range of matters if they involve no more than a brief interview or telephone call.
