We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis to lead a team of finance professionals responsible for the preparation of the Corporation's external financial reporting, budgets, forecasts and complex financial analyses. This role also oversees the development and administration of internal controls and serves as the key interface with external auditors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in preparing Corporate Plans and providing accounting guidance that conforms with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).”

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the production and related analysis for all reporting including monthly, quarterly and annual submissions, internal and external; oversee and/or complete notes and the management discussion and analysis for financial statements
  • Support the organization’s annual budgeting process through the analysis and provision of historic data and forecasts; serve as a subject matter expert to other management roles and the executive team
  • Lead quality and continuous improvement in process, procedure and the use of technology for the department
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and performance management (including training opportunities) for functional resources
  • Oversee the development and administration of internal controls; provide advice to others and ensure adherence to internal and external requirements such as generally accepted accounting standards
  • Responsible for ensuring the organization is aware of changes to accounting and financial standards and assessing the impact to the organization to design necessary changes to policy and practice
  • Serve as the key interface in the annual audit ensuring access to information and provision of explanation when needed

What you’ll bring to CCC

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, business, or commerce
  • Chartered Professional Accounting designation
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial management including experience related to people management and operational planning and delivery
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and reporting requirements within the public sector environment
  • Knowledge, skills, and experience in operational management of financial professionals, operational planning and risk management, project, change and risk management
  • Knowledge of relevant local, provincial, and federal legislation and regulations including collective agreements
  • Bilingualism in both official languages (English and French) is required
