About the role

The current North America Home Care business comprises of three brands across three different entities: Seventh Generation & The Laundress in US and VIM brand in Canada managed by UI.

The business has a net revenue of €275m; however, given the extraordinarily large size of the market (+€15 billion), there is massive opportunity for Unilever to grow in this market as shown in the business plan for 2030 in which the revenue is expected to double through strong innovation pipeline and core portfolio.

JOB PURPOSE:

As the Home Care NA SC Finance Manager, you will lead the NA Supply Chain Finance agenda, enabling the business to meet its' financial goals, proactive efforts to identify opportunities, and implement solutions to enhance the financial performance of our business. Your mission is to infuse financial wisdom into every strategic and operational decision, ensuring that growth trajectory is not only profitable but also sustainable.

As Home Care NA SC Finance Lead you will play a key role partnering the NA Home Care SC teams (Planning, Procurement, CM Operations), supporting the business to deliver their targets (USG, UOM, CASH), managing the performance end to end of Supply Chain Cost and partnering with The Laundress and UI (Canada) team to ensure successful results across all NA brands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Home Care NA SC Finance Manager should have exceptional leadership and be an innate problem-solver, with the ability to support the business in developing and executing on effective business strategies; including the planning and budgeting process. Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage financial operations with end-to-end ownership of Supply Chain Cost (COGS) within the HC NA business.
  • Develop and maintain financial models & forecasts to support business decision making.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations for cost-improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic planning and decision making.
  • Stay updated on industry and market trends to anticipate potential financial impacts on the company.
  • Mentor and guide 1 team member to support their professional growth and development.
  • Act as a liaison between finance and other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Embrace and promote the company's values and commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

Experiences & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience, with a focus on supply chain/operations finance. CPG experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of financial analysis & reporting, including budgeting, forecast, and variance analysis.
