About the Storehouse Bar & Grill
The Storehouse Bar & Grill, located within the Frobisher Inn, is a lively and welcoming venue serving hotel guests and the local community. We are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment and are seeking dependable individuals to join our Support Staff & Bar Security team.
Position Overview
We are seeking professional and reliable Support Staff & Bar Security team members to assist with guest safety, compliance with liquor regulations, and general operational support during service hours. This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a calm presence in a hospitality setting.
Both full time and part time opportunities are available.
Employer sponsorship is not supported for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor guest behaviour to maintain a safe and respectful environment
- Enforce Nunavut liquor laws and responsible service practices
- Conduct ID checks and assist with crowd control as required
- De escalate conflicts and handle incidents professionally
- Support bar and restaurant operations during service periods
- Maintain a professional, approachable, and visible presence
- Communicate effectively with management and team members
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, security, or customer service is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high pressure situations
- Knowledge of liquor regulations an asset (training provided if required)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without employer sponsorship
Additional Details
- Evening and weekend availability required
- Part time positions are available; part time roles do not include relocation assistance
- Uniform and training provided
- Subsidized shared staff housing may be available for full time employees only
